Data Acquisition Systems

Interfacing instruments to electronic medical records, to environmental data collection systems, or to other systems accurately, quickly and with full documentation is our specialty.

Examples of some of our recent projects include:

Custom data acquisition system developed under tight time constraints to collect meteorological and particulate dust concentration data for a major national construction project using existing instruments.  Environmental data is stored locally at each site in a Microsoft Access database and at a central server in a Microsoft SQL Server database. Web services provide secure access to information for use in public web sites.

IMA developed a custom data acquisition reporting and real time alerting system for a chemical plant in the Houston area. Collecting meteorological data and chemical concentrations via interfaces to the meteorological instruments and to an automated gas chromatograph, the fully automated system creates real time email alerts by examining vector averaged wind direction, site location and organic compound concentrations and sends data to corporate and state databases. Custom reports were created using Microsoft Excel with interfaces to the corporate database.  Additionally real time meteorological and concentrations are presented in tables and charts via custom web site.
